	John Gilligan John J. Gilligan, the principal and managing partner in the firm, is certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as a Family Law Specialist. The firm’s emphasis is family law and all related family issues.  The firm advises on probate litigation and all areas of estate planning. Mr. Gilligan has served as Judge Pro-Tem in the Superior Court for sixteen years. He is also certified to serve as a Superior Court Mediator, qualified for service as Court-Appointed Minor's Counsel, and has served on various Bar Associations. He has lectured extensively and authored many published articles in the areas of domestic violence, child custody, community property and various other aspects of family law, and is the author of three published opinions.
